Yorktown Texas Chamber of Commerce
To advance the general welfare and prosperity of the greater Yorktown area, so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interest of the area.
The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, an extremely active, community-oriented, non-profit organization, exists to further the economic development of the community and aid in the promotion and development of local business, agricultural and community-oriented endeavors. The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce proudly sponsors and provides the community with numerous special events and activities throughout the year. The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce is an excellent source of information for visitors, newcomers and residents.
The following is just a PARTIAL list of the many services the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce proudly provides for the public, free of charge:
ADVANTAGES OF CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP
To sponsor or participate in Chamber activities throughout the year, Christmas at the Creek, Memorial Day Ceremony, Chamber Banquet, Golf Tournament, Crops Tour, Easter Egg Hunt, Trunk-or-Treat, Market Days, Third Thursday, National Night Out. Teacher appreciation and other Chamber events.
CHAMBER INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY
Great chance for a member mixer and to honor those businesses who have reached a milestone anniversary, not to mention the distinguished citizens of the community.
Annual Fundraiser for the Yorktown Chamber held at the Yorktown Country Club. Sponsorship Opportunities are available from tee box to the Longest Drive or “Presenting Sponsor.”
Cookies and Punch are served as the VFW members memorialize our veterans and honor them with a ceremony.
The Chamber welcomes the teachers with a breakfast before the new school year.
National Night Out
A collaborative effort with local emergency medical, fire and patrol organizations to encourage and promote community involvement.
Yorktown Western Days
Yorktown’s annual festival. Community support and engagement is encouraged and necessary for the success of this event that brings thousands to our community.
Trunk or Treat
Local businesses and organizations gather in the park and deliver goodies to local “Trick or Treaters”.
Canned Food Drive
Food drive to benefit the local YAMS project to help the local needy. Goods to be deposited at the Chamber and local businesses.
The Yorktown Chamber manages the “Majestic Lights” display in the Park from Thanksgiving through New Years. Opportunities are available to sponsor displays.
Santa in the Park
1st Thursday in Dec. Santa in the Park with activities, local church choirs, assorted activities and Santa under the gazebo.
In addition to ribbon cuttings & hosting community events, as a member you are welcome to promote your business at the chamber or chamber functions or through the “Chamber Chat” an e-newsletter delivered to chamber e-mail lists or Facebook page. “Shop the 4 Seasons”
Yorktown Market Days hosted by the Yorktown Chamber, launched in August 2014. We are pleased to bring this seasonal event to the Yorktown Community the 1st Saturday of February, May, August & Novembert (the midquarter months of the year.) This is a great opportunity to market your local business, whether it be food, retail, convenience, service or others, as we “Welcome” buyers from other communities to ours.
The Chamber of Commerce meets the Last Monday of the Month at 6 PM at the Chamber Headquarters at 141 S. Riedel, Yorktown.
